How Real Estate Agents Can Leverage Social Media to Create Email Messages

Among marketing tools, email is probably the most powerful when it comes to lead nurturing and lead conversion for real estate agents. But social media has become an important player too. And if you’ve been able to create a successful presence on Facebook, for example, that generates a lot of activity from your followers, there’s a way to make the two disciplines work together.

Many business owners and real estate agents write a blog and use those articles in a monthly or weekly email newsletter that goes out to prospects and existing customers. Those same articles also get posted to social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. This strategy is effective, but it can be very time-consuming too.

Another strategy you could employ is to share popular posts from your social media sites directly with your email subscribers. For example, email marketing solution provider StreamSend has an app that a user can install in their browser’s toolbar. When a StreamSend user sees that an article or an image of a new listing has generated a lot of buzz on Facebook or Pinterest, they can pin that post to a Brand Board. People can then share those pins and opt-in to your list – converting those socially engaged users into email subscribers. Then, your boards can automatically create email marketing pieces containing your most recent posts. Those email messages can then go out on any schedule you’d like – daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

The benefit of including your social media posts in your email messages is that your subscribers will then be able to share your email with their friends by forwarding your message, or by sharing it with their own social networking sites. This strategy gives real estate agents the opportunity to reach customers and prospects on a whole new level as recipients share valuable messages with their established relationships.
